Nordic Star Card - Guest Designer for 52 Christmas Throwdown

Thanks for stopping for a look today

I am honoured to say I was asked to be a Guest Designer for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and the theme this week is Nordic Christmas and what could be better than to use the Nordic Noel Designer Paper from Stampin' Up

You can visit and see what the Designers have come up with by clicking here

Here is a view looking down on top of the star

and here is the card displayed open

When the Star Card is all closed up this is what it looks like

The Star paper clip holds it all closed and it comes in a lovely pack of 40 clips, 8 of 3 designs and 16 of another, you can find them on page 209 of the Annual Catalogue

I've even made a box for the Star Card to go in and know this will be a special card for someone this year!

Thanks for taking time to look

Until next time ........

Kraft and Vellum Card - Stampin' Up!

Today's card is a Kraft Christmas Card

The new Kraft Card from Stampin' Up! is really beautiful and although you can't see my sentiment because of the watermark (sorry about that) I used Peace and Joy from the FREE Stamp Set, Good Greetings

The stars are punched out with the Bitty Accents Star Punch and just one on the right hand side is die cut using the little star from the Thinlits Circle Card dies

I used the Circle Framelits and ran a piece of Vellum Cardstock through my Texture Embossing Machine using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

Thanks for stopping by

Until tomorrow............. I have quite a special card to share! hope you can pop by for a look

Inlaid Star Card - CASe - Stampin' Up!

I just had to make one of these In Lay Cards, I saw one on Pinterest using Paper Pumpkin and as we don't have that in the UK I used the paper pack Trim The Tree

so this is a CASe of that card, I searched and searched again to find it on Pinterest (why didn't I Pin it when I saw it) and managed to find who I think is the originator a lady called Amy Kunkle and you can check out her blog here

Basically you die cut all the Star Framelits nested together, I used Cherry Cobbler, from the top layer for your card and then a pattern paper of your choice, for me I used Trim the Tree,  cut into pieces attached to another piece of paper and die cut again with the Star Framelits - then just lay alternate pieces of the star inside the mat

Sorry about the watermark covering the sentiment, from Good Greetings FREE stamp set

Thanks for looking

Until next time ......... happy die cutting
