Butterflies Thinlits Watercolour

Today I have a happy accident to share!

Yep! I was making a background piece of watercolour paper, well what I did was use some re-inkers and water with an aqua painter and created a background, well, actually I did 2 of them in different colours...... I didn't like them at all when they were dry so I put them in the bin!

Then a lightbulb moment! I scrambled through the bits of paper in my bin to find the backgrounds and this is what I came up with using one of the pieces

I die cut the largest of the butterflies with Basic Black Card Stock and then covered it with Crystal Effects and let it dry over night......cut it out and attached to my yukky background..... but now I like it!

Thanks for looking ..... the jewels and sequins are from my own stash and the sentiment I placed in the die cut from On Film Framelits... Oh and the Designer Paper is Sweet Dreams....

Until next time .....

  1. Loving it, just goes to show you should never throw anything away as you may get a light bulb moment :)

I love reading your comments, and I always try to reciprocate! Bloggy love is something that ought to be shared, not hogged. :) Thank you for sharing!
