Hello You Thinlits - Happy Birthday Card

Hello again, thanks for visiting

I think this latest Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue is one of the best yet and it's certainly given me inspiration to make some really lovely cards and projects.....

Today I am sharing a card using the Hello You Thinlits and in particular I used the happy die

I used the In Laid technique for this card ......... a little fiddly but I so enjoyed placing all those little pieces of Whisper White inside the sentiment !!!

updated 22nd February 2015 to explain the inlaid technique

Die cut the happy from patterned paper and Whisper White, save the inner pieces of Whisper White to add later and set aside
Die cut the happy from 3 pieces of Mount Board

attach the WW to the patterned paper lining up the happy cut out and add to a card front

stick the mount board and the patterned paper on top of each other with the patterned paper on top and add to the front piece of WW

that's it, do ask or comment if you need any more details

The Designer Paper is Best Year Ever and to get the height in the Happy I used the Mount Board, it die cuts like a dream

the Birthday sentiment is from the Four You Stamp Set and I masked off the Happy before stamping

Thanks so much for taking a look

Please do leave a comment if you have time

Until next time .........

  1. I like your card very much Peg!
    The "happy" looks great.
Can you explain the In Laid technique for me, please? You have used a thinlits for the happy and it looks very thick.
