Wedding Card for Carole on Valentines Day

Happy Valentine Day to everyone who celebrates it!

We don't really do Valentine Day, my hubby says he tells me everyday he loves me and doesn't need a day dedicated for it! I think he's just avoiding buying the card, the dinner, the chocolates, the bubbly sparkly champagne.................. well I did make him a Scallop Circle box full of chocolate hearts!

Onto my card for today and it's not a Valentine card but a Wedding Card a good friend of mine Carole is getting married today to David, they have been together forever but they are finally tying the knot today,

It's an all White card this is the box I put it in to protect it in the post

Lots of punches used for this, all of the border punches from Stampin' Up well the one's available in the UK.

the flower is made using the Blossom Builder punch and it sits in the Bauble (ornament) punch for a vase. The flower stamen is a long strip of card rolled up.

Oh! and the decorated box I used the Blossom Party die available from the Spring Mini.

Scallop Circle Baby pram card

Back from working away this week and I have to say I had a really great time with some lovely ladies in Magor, Monmouthshire, the stay was extended by 1 day so my 3 day week of work turned into 4 so hence the lack of posts this week....... the hotel I stayed at was a minute walk to where I was working so this made the stay even better, once the car was parked that was it.....

Anyway, we have a little bit of snow today but nothing like they had predicted but still it will be nice to be home and after some chores this morning I hope to spend the afternoon in my craft room and as I have a class on Monday I had better get my skates on preparing for that.........

Here is a little card I made using the Scallop Circle die, I love it and think I am going to make some more in different colours also I thought I would make just the front and add it to a card front.

This one I made using So Saffron but it could easily be made in Bashful Blue for a Boy and Pretty in Pink for a girl.

Everything Eleanor thank you box card

Well I'm off on my travels again today this time to Gwent for a couple of days. I just hope the weather doesn't get too bad with more snow.

I have made this in a couple of classes recently (Annette this is one of the cards you would have made, hope Anne is feeling better) I used the Everything Eleanor Stamp set on the belly band along with Four Frames and the matching Designer label punch, oval punch and scallop oval punch the designer paper is from the latest In Colour Wisteria Wonder

When it opens it makes a lovely box card to hold a gift card, some money or confetti, mine just says Thank You and I used the Elegant Thank You A la Carte stamp.

Stampin' Up! Red Glimmer paper

It's been a lovely Sunday so far........ the usual pottering around at home and as the snow is still on the ground it's a fab day for crafting, I had a lovely class yesterday too what a great weekend eh?

I have had this Red Glimmer paper for a while and have only just got around to cutting into it, it's new from the Spring Mini and you get two 12 x 12 sheets for £3.95!

I know everyone is thinking of Valentine's day but I don't usually send any cards for this occasion so decided to make mine into a Birthday Card but just substitute the sentiment and Voila you have a Valentine card.

I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslits die for the large heart and the small heart punch along with the Heart to Heart punch and the sentiment is from Happiest Birthday wishes a hostess stamp set.

but best of all........a recent purchase of mine was the Borderlines stamp set the dotty border is one of 3 stamps in this set, love it!

Scallop Envelope Die 3 x 3 notes

Hooray it's the weekend and back home, I have to say I really appreciate home as some of you may know I travel quite a bit with my job and this past week took me to Glasgow and Wakefield, I would normally fly to Glasgow but I had a job the day after in Wakefield so it was best to drive. as far as the traffic and weather was concerned it was uneventful, what I mean is no hold ups with the traffic. It was such a pretty drive along the M74 on the way up to Glasgow some snow on the hills but just a cold frosty but sunny day.

We are forecast some snow today but later on and I'm home for the day in the warm and have a class, so I am looking forward to that.

I managed to get this picture during the evening in Glasgow it looked very impressive all lit up but I have to say I didn't go on it!!! too scared for those sort of things but when I was younger you wouldn't have stopped me! I loved the rides at the fair but I guess since I have got older I realise what could go wrong.........I know this isn't like a fair ride though and it does move quite slowly so maybe... one day.....

I made this little 3 x 3 notecard holder this morning and it holds some thank you cards and the little 3x3 envelopes to match.

It used the Stampin' Up! Scallop Envelope Die and I decorated the front with a punch out from the new Large 2.3/8" Scallop Punch

the smallest piece of Everyday Enchantment dsp FREE with a £45 order less postage.

The Thanks sentiment is also from a FREE set of stamps called Outlined Occasions

I'm sure if I had more time I could colour all the words in with my Stampin' Write markers but for now I have to do some last minute bits for my class

Perfect Postage and Everyday Enchantment

Well I'm driving to Glasgow today, then onto Mid Yorkshire on Thursday evening so no crafting for me for a couple of days but I have managed to make a little something and get ready for a class on Saturday so I am happy with that.

This card I have used the Perfect Postage stamp set and it seemed fitting to make something that could be for Valentine's day. the paper is the Free paper from Sale a Bration called Everyday Enchantment.

This is a close up of the middle one where I stamped the word Love and this lttle stamp comes from Pennant Parade stamp set. I used the new Postage Stamp Punch and the square scallop punch.

and a close up of the tag, the heart is the small heart punch and layered on a Mini Vintage Tag; these are so easily missed in the catalogue; they are on page 110.

Everyday Enchantment and Fresh Vintage

Hooray! I came up with some inspiration yesterday and made a Valentine Treat box using the Scallop Circle Die.

Using some of the backing card that comes with Stampin' Up! designer paper I die cut 2 using the Big Shot and the Scallop Circle die, then die cut 4 of the lovely Everyday enchantment designer paper and stuck them to the front and back.

On the top of the box I decorated with the stamp from Fresh Vintage using Stampin Markers in Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade, then punched this out with the Full Heart Punch and backed it on the heart from the Sweetheart Stamp set.

Darling hubby is going to love his little gift for Valentine's Day!

anyway here are cards that Lesley and I made when she came over for a visit

We used the Square Scallop die to make the card base and some paper from Paisley Petals designer paper and stamped over that with the swirl from Everything Eleanor stamp set, the sentiment, a real favourite of mine, You're a Gem stamp set and the Four Frames stamp set punched with the matching Designer Label Punch

Charming Acrylic block stamping

Happy Sunday everyone and Guess What?

It's nearly time for 2012 Sale a Bration it starts on Tuesday so spend £45 and get FREE stamps or lovely dsp, I have another card using that to show you on my next post...... but for now I had a play on Saturday this time on my own..... missed having someone to craft with this weekend........

Anyway this card I decided to use an acrylic block to ink the centre panel using Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede ink, I distressed the edges using the Cutter Kit and then used the Charming Stamp set from the spring mini catalogue and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set, the bakers twine is from my own stash.

I used Confetti White for the card base and Whisper White for the centre panel

I like how this turned out but the picture isn't brilliant....

Fresh Vintage Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration

Hello, last weekend on Saturday my friend Lesley and fellow demonstrator came for the day to craft, chat and generally catch up with each other......and over the next couple of days I will show you what we made, today's card is made using Fresh Vintage stamp set from Sale a Bration.

The first card is Lesley's and she made hers using Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla card stock and ink

this next one is mine and I used Perfect Plum and Whisper White

we scored the background making a diamond pattern and we both said it made a change from plain or an embossing folder.......

As promised yesterday, I have one of the cards we made in class on Monday and a picture of cake!! oh! and some lovely ladies.......

First of all the yummy cake that Shirley made for us ..... and a bit of Lynn popping over the cake.... tee hee and Elsie on the right

Charming Stamp set

Stampin' Up! have done it again!

The Spring Mini has this gorgeous stamp set called Charming and I love it.....

A clean and simple card today using the Heard from the Heart Stamp set for the sentiment.

It's another cold day in Worcestershire and very frosty but I don't have to go anywhere so I will stay nice and warm at home today.

A short post today I have to get all my pics from the camera on to the computer later today and I have some pictures from my class yesterday and one of the cards we made so hope you pop back for another look soon.

Love Blossoms Wheel and swap cards

Another cold day outside today all frosty and Winter wonderland in the garden, it's one of those days when you want to stay in bed and snuggle.......

However, no staying in bed for me today as I'm off to Biscester to our quarterly meeting with the Pink Ladies and Lads; fellow Stampin' Up! team demonstrators........

I am scheduling this post for a bit later as these are my swaps for today so I'm figuring that by the time this goes out; I would have given my swaps out.....

The first card is a standard size A6 that I made a couple of weeks ago and then when I was thinking what to make for my swaps I decided to CASe my own card for them.....

Stampin' Up! Spiced Paisley Rosette

Hello on this chilly Saturday morning brrr! I hate the cold but it's warm inside and I am having a crafting day with my friend Lesley today, just the perfect day for it eh?

onto today's card and I have used the new designer paper from Sstampin' Up! Spring Mini catalogue it's called spiced Paisley as the title suggests......

the centre piece is a rosette and I added a punch out from the Al a Carte stamp set Triple Treat Flower using the 5 Petal Flower Punch, the sentiment I have used You're a Gem and layered them up with 3 different oval punches.

Some lovely ruffled ribbon in Pool Party and a matching brad.

Above is a closer look at the rosette.

Accordion Top Note card Sale a Bration sneak peak

Just take a look at this lush paper.............. I knew I wanted to do something a bit special with it so my first cut into the lovely 12 x 12 designer paper from this years Sale a Bration called Everyday Enchantment was to make this Accordion Top Note card

Sale a Bration starts on January 24th for every £45 you spend you get to choose either a free stamp set or some of this lovely paper.

I made 2 chip board pieces and covered them and then used a piece to add to the centre

My Friend Stampin' Up!

A funny week of work this week and a long day yesterday! My job was in Leeds and I drove there and back instead of the normal staying over! well on my route the M1 was closed in various points due to accidents and someone wanting to throw themselves off a bridge onto the motorway!!! the Police were trying to talk them down and I really hope they did! it must be awful to get so unhappy that you would want to do that and I am so glad I have a happy life and hope I never feel that sad .............I did get to work on time by taking various detours, thanks to my sat nav and live traffic reports, I really don't know what I would do without one and wonder how I ever coped before I got one. ...............Well I felt a bit tired last night.....then I couldn't sleep so got up early today and took the opportunity to post something then I realised I needed to photograph something first!!!! so decided to take these pictures in my craft room and am quite surprised how they turned out as it was really dark outside so just propped the card up against my laptop and a Stampin' Up! ruler....

Anyway, when I was making the card for Lesley I was uncertain about which stamp set to use and almost used a new stamp set from the Spring mini called My Friend.... quite apt really but then decided on the cupcake one instead....

I was just having a play and tested out my new 2.3/8" Scallop punch on some confetti white card and then realised I could make it into a a card!

the dazzling droplets I stamped in Basic Gray and used my 2 way glue pen and added some silver glitter from the Fine Galaxy set of 5 from the main catalogue and stamped a portion of the big hello on the front

This is the inside the hello is stamped using Calypso Coral ink

Off to get a cup of tea and some breakfast and then start work as I working from home today.

Stampin' Up! Create a Cup Cake for Lesley

Happy Birthday Les, I hope you are going to have a really good day!

I won't tell anyone your age and in return you don't tell mine....... tee hee

Anyway hope you like your card?

I made it using the new Create a Cupcake stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the Cupcake Builder punch available in the Spring Mini.on page 22.......... See on the right hand side bar or the catalogue button at the top .....to download a copy or contact me if you need a copy

The coluurs I used are Basic Black and Pink Piroette (the picture doesn't show the Pink too well, (I'm rubbish with the camera) with a touch of whisper white and real red, the designer papers are from the Neutrals and Subtles stack, the ribbon is Pink Piroette and I made a little flower in black and attached the tiny tags using the Jewelry punch and last but not least the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Create a Cupcake stamp set. Oops sorry that was not the last bit....... the lace border is using the Lace Ribbon Border punch, the banner and scallops are from the Petal cone Bigz L die and the Perfect Pennants die, the jewels are the last item!

Spiced Paisley and Big Buttons

Here is a card I have made using one of the new stamps called Spriced Paisley and look at the Big Button!! it makes the perfect embellishment.

The sentiment is one of my "Go To" sets Sincere Salutaions.

The colours I have used for the card are More Mustard, Pool Party and Whisper White. I added some fine strips of card to the button.

This is a card I did in a recent class showing how to use the Stampin' Up! embossing folders where it leaves part of the card plain for stamping in......

So clean and simple and I'm using one of the new stamp sets from the Spring Mini, it's only 2 days to go before you can order from this...... this set is called Charming and I used Stampin' Write markers in Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade on the flower stamp and Crumb Cake on the words.

Mocha Morning Envelope Mini album last day

Here we are with the last of the pages from my Mocha Morning Envelope Mini album and I hope you have enjoyed seeing this as much as I enjoyed making it?

The top left and right hand side pockets are the same as all the previous pages scroll down to previous posts to see more as this is Day 5. click here for Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4

the below pictures are 3 tags from the bottom pocket they 2 of them are chip board pieces from the Merry Medley on board selection from Stampin' Up! and I just covered them with this lovely Mocha Morning paper and the other is one of the 2 tags die

the next is the back of the tags I covered with some note paper from a note book and a punched scallop circle

The picture below is from the top pocket from the right hand page and on this I used some very vanilla card and made a little note book with a few pages to journal on

the next is from the centre pocket from the middle pocket and I used Stampin' Up! exclusive Top Note die and some of the First Edition speciality paper and added a punched tag

on the next picture this is one of the 2 tags die and I've added a tag from lots of tags Sizzlit die some soft suede taffeta ribbon and the punched piece is a new punch from the Spring Mini available 4th January called Postage Stamp..... love this punch..... you will see more from me with this one....

and the back page..... as you can see I still haven't decorated it!!! will have to spend some time crafting next year!! lol........ it's almost next year ........2012 here we come..... I punched a piece of basic black card using the Dotted scallop Ribbon border punch to act as the pocket and slipped in the tags

and the next 2 pictures of the front and back of these tags

and the final page is the back cover...........

and that's it!!

Mocha Morning Envelope Mini album cont'd....

Hello again! here we are with Day 4 of the Mocha Morning Envelope Mini album and I think these 2 pages are my favourite the left hand side page has the usual top pocket like on yesterday's post with the flower from the new Blossom Party die and the right hand side pocket again the same as yesterday's post.

On the left hand page I made an additional centre pocket by adding a piece of designer paper in the V shape using the Scallop Trim border punch, then the bottom pocket I added a stamped and gold embossed image from Creative Elements stamp set.

Below is the tag from the centre pocket and the Butterfly is a die cut from On Board Merry Medley (you have to see how many pieces you get in this set it's loads and loads)

The tag below is from the top pocket and I made another pocket on that by decorating another envelope and adding a velcro dot to close it and the Oval All punches, the image is stamped from Clearly for You stamp set

below is the tag inside this pocket; I stamped the En Francais background stamp and sponged the edges with some soft suede ink, a punched circle reinforces the tab to pull it out of the pocket.

the bottom tags are from the lots of tags sizzlits die

The tags in the 2 following pictures are front and back of the tags for the centre pocket, gold embossed images from Everything Eleanor, Vintage Vogue, En Francais and Love and Sympathy

and last but not least I made a double slider with journalling spots on the bottom right hand page using the grocery bag technique

Phew! another couple of pages tomorrow! actually there are only 3 left so it will be the final I think? although I do need to decorate the front inside and back inside covers so I will see how today goes and may decorate them if I have chance today

Mocha Mornng Envelope Mini album Cont'd...

Here we go with Day 3 of the Mocha Morning Envelope Mini Album with the next 2 pages and tags

I have used Everything Eleanor stamp set, of course by Stampin' Up! and guess what? the new 2.3/8" (6cm) Scallop punch in the Spring Mini available from Jan 4th punches out the pretty journalling spot! its on the left hand page.

Also on the left I have used a doilie from the Flirtatious Speciality paper and inked the back of it, which is white! you get 32 of these in the pack plus all the other double sided paper!!!

the picture below is the top pocket tag and the right hand tag from the side pocket

This is the top tag flower, I have used this throughout and it used a new die from the Spring Mini called Blossom Party and this is only a small bit of it...... you will see a lot more from this die from me I love it! and of course I ran it through the Bigshot Machine, available from the main idea book and catalogue.

on the next picture the black and crumb cake tags are punched using the Extra large and Large tag punches and the smaller tags are lots of tags Sizzlits with punched out pieces from Beau Chateau designer paper using the Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch

the next picture I stamped the large label looking stamp (can't think what name to call it?) and raised it on foam tape making a pocket for 2 more tags and this time I added 2 little butterflies from the Beautiful Wings embosslit

the middle tag is the next picture a couple of tags and a large butterfly, the butterfly is from Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and wrapped a piece of Victoria lace around it, the labels I stamped from Notably Ornate stamp set

the next picture is the back of the one above

I made a larger tag and added a stamped flower from Everything Eleanor stamp set and another little butterfly from the embosslit, the pocket I made with very vanilla card and added a punched lace border using the Lace Ribbon border punch

and the top pocket tag pictures are next the front I used the Top Note die for a photo mat and another to journal on

this is the back and I added a swivel photo mat and journal tag again using the new 2.3/8" scallop punch and the stamp from Everything Eleanor.

on each of the pages there is a pocket on the top and the tag inside I have made the same throughout also the tab on the right hand side are the same throughout and you can see that on yesterday's post

Mocha morning paper has been used throughout too plus 2 tags die and others plus lots of different stamp sets/ punches too. If you have any questions then let me know

first of all the left hand page tags below the 2 tags die fits perfectly into the Scallop Envelope die all cut on my Big Shot.... lots of tags die on the front of that and punched oval with the extra large oval punch

and then onto the right hand side page; the 2 tags die opens up to reveal lots of places to journal and add some small pictures

The tag in the top pocket: I added some basic black card and punched it with Stampin' Up! eyelet border punch and tucked 3 more tags into that, I stamped and embossed on both sides using stamps from a new set available January 4th in the Spring Mini called Charming.

The centre pocket holds the tag stamped with Notably Ornate stamp set just perfect for journalling

and on the back of this I stamped the Post Card stamp from Winter Post stamp set .... not just for Christmas eh?

Mocha Morning Envelope Mini Album

This is it!

My project I have been working on but it still has a few bits I want to do, as there are 6 pages and loads of tags it's going to take me a while to show everything but here are the first couple of pages.

The front I have created flowers and added a feather (this is where I want to do some more)

I have used Stampin' Up! sizzix dies, punches, card stock and Mocha Morning designer paper throughout

Also, the inside cover I need to decorate, the one to the left in the picture below, the one on the right pictured below there are 2 pockets

these are the tags the scallop circle fits inside the large tag in the top tag of the mini album and the little one inside the bottom flap, the flowers on the little tag are Stampin' Up! paper flowers that I coloured with ink pads and a Vintage brad in the centre.

Dasher not Stampin' Up!

One more sleep to go and it's Christmas Day!

I'm looking forward to it!

I forgot to show you my Dasher.... isn't he gorgeous? my sister in law and brother in law came over last weekend for their Christmas with us and this is a gift for our tree, they bought it in the States on their recent visit.

I know I showed a picture before of my tree but thought I would take another, most of the decorations are from the States, I bought them back in 1987 and every year I add to the collection! I might have to get a bigger tree next year!

My project is almost finished and only have a little bit left to do so will show it on here after Christmas Day, hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy 2012.

as my Dad always used to say if you have your health then you are amongst the richest........

Beau Chateau gift box

Lovely as a Tree

Hello again, I had one of those sleepless nights last night, I am working on a very special project and couldn't wait to do some more on it and kept thinking about it during the night so in then end I waited until 6am before getting up! and have now worked on it for 2.5 hours and can't wait to get back to it. I will be putting it on here but still have loads to do and will be using my Christmas break to craft on this and some more........ so watch this space ........

here is another of the Ink Brushed cards this time using Lovely as a Tree from Stampin' Up!.

Gotta go and get a cup of tea and some breakfast not to speak of a shower and getting dressed!!! before carrying on in my craft room on my Special Project .......

Forever Young Stampin' Up!

Hello again, I was just going through my watermarked photo's to post today and found this one! I had forgotten to put this on my blog so thought it would make a nice change from what I was going to put on .... or in fact better than nothing at all!!!

I used the lovely stamp sets Forever Young and Pocket Silhouette; for the background I used brushes from my stash and Stampin' Up! inks and it was really quick to produce.

Timeless Portrait Fun flower brooch

Wow! isn't Christmas sneaking up on us?

I feel like I'm running backwards as I don't seem to be getting very far.

Anyway let me tell you about this name brooch I made; my friend Wendy was challenged to make a new name badge for her ladies guild, remember I did a demo there a while ago, well this project came up at that meeting and I suggested she should use the Fun Flowers die from Stampin' Up! to make her new name badge.......... so Wendy was going to use my die and bring over some material to do it........ I knew I had to make one so I could show her how to make it and this was my attempt... the letters weren't actually stuck on yet in this photo.......... as I thought this was only an idea... anyway Wendy forgot to bring over her material so I gave her this one so at least she had one made.

A close up and still the letters weren't attached yet anyway Wendy was please she had a brooch to enter the competition...

Guess what? SHE WON with my little brooch........I was very pleased for her

Long time no post.... a busy week with one thing and another .... work being one of them; I was away for a couple of days and yesterday I went Christmas shopping with dh but didn't get too much! so will have to do some more next week. I am working away again next week back to Portsmouth and then that will be it for the rest of the year!! yahoo! yippee! then I can start making some projects with my new goodies!.... you see being a demonstrator I get to pre-order....... and will give you some sneak peaks soon.....

I made these a while ago and since taking the photo's I have made more but need to take photo's of them so will do that later or in the morning when the light is better and show them soon.

The tags are using the 2 Tag Die and is a real favourite for Christmas tags....

Paisley Petals for Free

Well the weekend came and went and a lovely class yesterday too, My nephew Josh and his girlfriend Sian came over on Sunday to collect the wedding card I made for them so I didn't have to rush off to the post office in the end, they loved the card I made Phew! now onto Stampin' Up! offer of Paisley Petals Stamp set and matching designer paper.......

........it's not too late to host a workshop and earn this stamp set for FREE and also the matching paper. Paisley Petals isn't it lovely? for this card I stamped and and coloured in using the ink pads and blender pen then stamped and cut out the lovely flower and added a brad, the ruffled ribbon adds a little pizzazz; I think.

I'm working away the next few days Yuk! ah well as I always say it buys me some more goodies to craft with.......

Winter Wedding card all Stampin' Up! white

Wow! I was asked by my nephew Josh and his girlfriend Sian to make a wedding card for a wedding they are going to in December oops! only just remembered today so I am hoping it's not too late! so hope to get it in the post..........My memory is getting worse and I don't know how I did think of it in the end but after breakfast this is what I knew I had to make before anything else today. I was supposed to be giving my bedroom and en suite a good clean ... you know pull the bed out and all the bedside tables and chest of drawers and cleaning behind them......... I think there is a lot of dust building up there 'cus I keep coughing at night so after going to the post office that's the next job......

Sian said she liked snowflakes and gltter so if you look close at the centre piece I stamped the snowflakes from Serene Snowflake stamp set and embossed in white and then added some dazzling diamonds, also the centre piece I punched using the Scallop Trim Corner and Border punch (insructions above on the tutorial button, this piece I cut to 3.25 x 3.25 inches)

Tiny tags stamp set using the Love and Mr and Mrs and of course the jewelry tag punch, the brad is from the Metallic pack

Here is a close up of the butterfly and leaves, butterfly is beautiful wings embosslit and leaves from the 2 step bird punch/bird builder, some whisper white satin ribbon and a piece of embossed polka dot whisper white card.

The small heart is a punched one from the Heart to Heart punch and the embossed one is made using the scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit

All supplies mentioned are of course Stampin' Up!

Paisley Petals 3 x 3 envelope scrapbook

Hello..... here is a little scrapbook handbag I made yesterday, I am starting to think more scrapbooking but still haven't got all my photo's sorted yet and I think most of the photo's I have would be too big for this little album so will have to take some more!

This was inspired by one I saw on Becky Roberts blog a long time ago and I had forgot to create one and now Stampin' Up! have got the little 3 x 3 envelopes available again; I promptly ordered some to make this....... It only used 2! isn't it cute?

This is the inside, I only need 2 pics for this, I think I may get the ones I took of dh when he was "Mr. Paintpot Head" and put those in, all I have to do is find them on the computer and print them off......

I didn't get chance to blog anything while I was in Billingham and got back late and feeling tired last night it took about 4 hours to get home after working for the day but anyway I have a card to show you today that I made for my brother in law using Stampin' Up! Scrappin' kit called Tickets and Tags, I have bought a few of these Scrappin' kits with a view to start some scrapbooking but I thought the Tickets and Tags kit would be great for his card too!

Here is a card I made for my BIL who is spending his Birthday in Connecticut with my sister and 2 kids, they are linving in London for a while but their home is in Greenwich and I know they go back for Thanksgiving, so hope they enjoyed that and also his Birthday celebrations.

Distress striped embossing folder

A really quick post today as I am running through the door straight after this to drive up to Billingham near Teeside (not darlington as I thought earlier in the week, work!) Back tomorrow night but probably won't get chance to post tomorrow unless I get some internet access.

So onto today's card, I used the Striped embossing folder and brayered over the inside with ink and got quite a distressed look, I am sure if I had put more ink on it would have been a better look but I kinda like how it turned out...

The Stampin' Up! punches I love! but I am sure you know that as I own everyone one of them and use them often, today it's the Bird Builder punch and love love that Elegant Eggplant dotty ribbon!!!

Crayon Resist Serene Snowflakes

We had a lovely day yesterday on our Anniversary and a wonderful meal, it really doesn't feel like it was that many years ago, we have been together now for 21 yearsish and my only wish is that we would have met earlier but you never know we might have hated each other as teenagers .... tee hee....

so on to todays cards using the Crayon Resist Technique and Stampin' Up! Serene Snowflake stamp set, the first one I demonstrated at a recent Stampin' Up! event I held at home and then the second one I made some time after and made it bigger and upgraded it by adding more product, I am loving the Doily Trple Layer punch I used it to make the snowflake on the second card.

Our Wedding Anniversary today

Well another year on so 15 years today we got married across the pond in Australia and you can see some pics on last years post here

Well in previous posts I have said how dh and myself don't send cards to each other too often.... if I'm honest .......... at all ............

Well today I woke up to receive this card!!! Last year I made a Happy Everything card so that dh could send me a card!!! or visa versa lol ... anyway last week I spent ages sorting through and tidying all my cards and put them nto massive under the bed clear box's and believe it or not in some sort of order....... WELL I was proud of my sorting out and had to, of course, show hubby my tidy handywork........... never did I realise he would go through the cards to find THIS one to give to me today.........

So as I didn't actually make him a card YET! while he is off playing golf, I should go off and make one eh?

Petal Cone Die box

Hello from sunny Reading during my lunch break and thought I would just say I wanted to wish all Stampin' Up! demonstrators a safe trip to the European Convention in Paris, I decided not to go this year as the logistics for me to get there were a nightmare and then there was this course I had to be on at work!!!!

Hope to see lots of photo's around blog land after their return though.

Beau Chateau Chipboard tag

It's Wednesday! and this is a scheduled post from me and just a little chipboard tag for you to see today, not much I hear you say...... well I am hoping this will be part of a bigger project for some time as I am planning to start scrapbooking some of my "In the box's photo's" and maybe get some more digital ones printed off professionally. Hope to start soon ........ watch this space.....

Oh and by the way this photo is not taken of the floor boards in my house! but they are floor boards on our windowsill and were uncovered when we decorated. I know Jane thought I got down on the floor to take the pictures.........lol

Anyway, I used the 2 tags die and punched a piece of board, you know the one that backs Stampin' Up! 12 x 12 paper.

then punched out 2 pieces of Beau Chateau designer paper 1 for the front and one for the back, a piece of lace and punched border using scallop trim border punch, the butterfly is a stamp from Creative Elements a set of 8 stamps in total in this set.

A little flower punched using one of the Itty Bitty punch set (3 in the set) and a pearl on top of that.

The ribbon is my new favourite and is Soft Suede taffeta.

Tags 'til Christmas

I hadn't realised that I had missed putting this on my blog until I spoke to Annette tonight and she asked me to put it on as she had seen it at my house a while ago and now she has the Stampin' Up! Tags 'til Christmas stamp set wanted a reminder.

so here it is.....

the snowman has a to and from sentiment on but I wanted to hide this and so covered it up....

the background paper is Night of Navy dsp from the Regal Stack pack and I ran it through the Perfect Polka dot embossing folder and then used Stampin' Up!'s sanding block to scratch off some of the dsp colour and show the white.....

Merry sentiment is from the Pennant Parade stamp set.

Stampin' Up! All White no stampin' required

I know I must be getting boring but where does the time go? no sooner a week ends the next one starts again but I hope you all had a great weekend, mine was quite a relaxing one not doing too much, maybe that's where the time went! no where! because I didn't do enough! I think that the busier I am the more I do the more I think I filled my time and therefore had more time.... does that make any sense at all?

Anyway, onto today's card......... NO STAMPIN REQUIRED on this oneI used Stampin' Up! clear scallop bigz square die to make the card base, embossed it using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, swirls and scribbles die, Manhattan Flower embossing folder and Beautiful Wings embosslits die.

Added some pearls and Organza Ribbon.

Stampin' Up! Elizabeth .... again!

Almost the weekend! well to some Friday is the weekend or at least it starts at about 5pm when we get to finish work........

Next week I am off down to my office in Reading for a few days so I hope to schedule some posts for then.

Having had a play with my A la Carte Elizabeth stamp I couldn't resist making a wedding card with it, the sentiment is from Petite Pairs and I used Stampin' Up! gold embossing powder for both, I love this powder it's like a shiny glass mirror when it's heated.

the background is Manhattan Embossing folder and white satin ribbon.

This little stamp is a real favourite and is proving very versatile.

Scallop trim Border and Corner Punch tutorial

I have been asked a few times now for instructions on using the Scallop edge border and corner punch and I know there are a few floating around blog land but thought I would just write up a quick note and add it to the tutorial tab for quick reference.

So here goes

Border and Corner Punch instructions

I find it easy to keep a set of reference templates in my favourite sizes

Practice makes perfect but don’t worry if it’s not

Start by cutting card stock to the dimensions in the following list:
Cut square pieces of card stock i.e. 2.7/8" x 2.7/8"

1 15/16, 2 3/8, 2 7/8, 3 1/4, 3 13/16, 4 1/4, 4 ¾

SCALLOP TRIM STEPS:
1. Cut card stock in your choice of square from the list above.
2. Punch corners first using the Scallop Trim Corner Punch
3. When punching corners use your punch upside down, exposing the area you are cutting.
4. Use the silver punch guide stamped on the top of Scallop Trim Border to line up and punch and complete your border.

QUICK SCALLOP TRIM SQUARE you only need the Scallop Trim Corner Punch

Cut card stock to 1 15/16" x 1 15/16"

Punch the corners with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch

Stampin' Up!'s 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" Square Punches layer perfectly over this square.

Cut card in the following sizes i.e. 4.3/4” x 4.3/4” and so on

• 4 3/4" makes a square that has 10 scallops along each side

• 4 1/4" makes a square that has 9 scallops on each side

• 3 13/16" makes a square that has 8 scallops along each side. This is the size that fits perfectly into the guide that is printed on the Scallop Trim Border Punch and therefore makes this a great size to practice on. Once you get this size down, it will be easier to branch-off and make your squares smaller or larger.

• 3 1/4" makes a square than has 7 scallops along each side.

• 2 7/8" makes a square that has 6 scallops on each side

• 2 3/8" makes a square that has 5 scallops on each side

• And then, the original smallest square that I described above begins with a square that is 1 15/16" and uses only the corner punch.

Rectangles can be 3 13/16" x 4 3/4"; 3 1/4" x 5 3/4"; and 2 7/8" x 1 15/16".

For Rectangles, choose 2 sizes from the square size for example, a rectangle could be cut to 4 3/4" x 2 7/8".

This week is flying by eh? well I think it is ..........

here is a card made using the A la Carte stamp Elizabeth not a fantastic picture of it the lighting is so bad but I think you get the idea and it does look better in real life!

I used basic grey and pink pirouette, the designer paper is from the neutrals and is whisper white so I matched this up with a whisper white satin ribbon.

the sentiment that you can just about see (sorry for the bad photo) is from Petite Pairs.

Stampin' Up! Forever Young

A bit of a late post today but it could be early for tomorrow eh? tee hee......

anyway I've had a relaxing day today and felt like I needed it, not much to write about really so I will get on and show you a couple of cards...using Forever Young Stamp set from Stampin' Up! the first one I used the Circle Treat cup and added some Silver Glass glitter.

When I made this I went downstairs from my craft room to show dh and he said he thought it would look better without the cup and the sentiment and the ribbon!!!!

So to oblige I made another without!!

Hello, it's Monday again and the week goes on eh?

after a busy weekend I am looking forward to a bit of RandR this week so maybe some time to craft maybe not!!

Anway the NEC was brilliant this last weekend and I met some lovely ladies and did a bit of shopping on Saturday..... more crafting stash that I really NEED but have to find the time now to use it tee hee.

Here is a little card I made using the Something for Christmas A La Carte stamp set and some of my Stampin' Write markers and one of the designer printed brads. the ribbon is the new ruffle ribbon in Calypso Coral, the punched border is using the Scallop Trim Border punch.

A couple of Stampin' Up! Candy Wrappers

Back from my travels and work is done for this week1 doesn't it go quick?

anyway lots to catch up on at home today so I will get on with showing you today's project.....

The photo is awful but the lighting is so bad today and I had to get some pictures to put on here before this weekend as it's my only chance today and tomorrow I will be at the NEC stand C16 and then on Saturday I'm going as a visitor with some friends and Sunday a Stampin' Up! workshop/party at my house!!!

I made the small candy wrapper first and then decided I really wanted a bigger one and made that too

the colour of the big one is wisteria wonder card with Elegant Eggplant designer series paper and the ribbon is the new ruffle ribbon in Wisteria wonder.

Monday and back to work day again.......Oh well it will fly .... as usual.....

Not sure if you noticed but there is a banner at the top of my blog? I will be at the NEC this Friday with my fellow Pink Ladies team, Stampin' Up! demonstrators stand C16, If you are coming that day hope you can drop by and say Hello.

I think this is the last of the cards using Build a Blossom stamp set and Blossom Builder punch for a while, well at least I can't find any more picutres for now........ YIPEE! I here you say.....

The 2 pictures on the right are of a larger bauble and you could decorate a whole Christmas Tree with these.

My pictures are a bit rubbish/Naff to say the least!! the darker one is in Elegant Eggplant and the edges glittered using the Black from the Fine Galaxy set, the lighter colour is Wisteria Wonder glittered with dazzling diamonds...... although you can't see it in the picture!!! you will have to take my word for it they really sparkle!!!

Everything Eleanor Birthday Card for Karen

Happy Birthday to my youngest sister karen hope you have a great day!

It's her 50th but we won't tell everyone eh?

This is the card I made for her using Stampin' Up! Everything Eleanor stamp set.

Also used some of the neutrals designer paper to stamp the swirl on and stamped and cut out the 3 flowers, the sentiment is from Perfect Punches.

and this is the inside of the card, I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch to make the frame

Another Stampin' Up! Build a Blossom Card

Another week over with as far as work is concerned and now onto a lovely weekend with lots of crafting this weekend for me, I can't wait to get my hands on some of my new stash from Stampin' Up! in particular the Petal Cone die, Candy Wrapper die well to be honest anything using the Big Shot, I don't know what I did without this machine.

Before I get onto the card a couple of things I wanted to mention was the font change on my blog; blogger now lets you choose from loads of fonts but I decided I didn't like the one I left on here for a few days and have changed it again, what do you think? is this one easy to read?

Another thing to tell is a bit of a funny story, if you want to skip this then scroll to the card........

well the other day dh nearly made me die from laughing ... well at first a bit of a fright...... anyway when we moved into this house 5 ish years ago and started renovating the old place (about 300 years old) you can imagine ... floors coming up walls and ceilings coming down all the floor upstairs gone! well we disturbed a nest of MICE! omg they were everywhere dh was bonking them all on the head with a dustpan and collecting them with the brush and giving them a nice burial in the garden....... sorry but I can't bear the thought of them running around the house so they had to get bonked on the hear.....cruel you might say, sorry sorry sorry....

anyway he shouts to me " Peg, there is a mouse on the stairs" WHAT! I ran from the craft room onto the landing and peeped over the Bannister's................. he had put new batteries in my mouse for my computer!!! it was just the mouse for my computer........... It was sitting on the stairs and dh was singing " I saw a mouse, where? there on the stair right there, a little mouse with clogs on, well I declare going clip clippity clop on the stair.... Oh yeah"

Funny for me anyway......

Here is the card!

Another air balloon one using the Blossom Builder punch, the kitten cat, is from All in the Family stamp set and the basket is a piece of crumb cake card run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder and the sentiment is from Happiest Birthday wishes-hostess set.

Hello........... a quick post today as I have to work for the next 3 days ........ Yuk!

Home today and off to Ladies Guild for a Stampin' Up! demonstration and make and take tonight for 20 ladies then Oxford tomorrow and driving onto Croydon for Friday, I am not looking forward to driving back Friday night in traffic from Croydon and the lovely M25!!! I can tell you............

Anyway here is another in the Build a Blossom series of cards this time it's a Flower!

I used the new In Color Pool Party and stamped with the Delicate Doilies onto each punched out petal.

The new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch is just fab for the bottom and punched the sentiment from Just Believe using the Word Window punch and modern label punch

Build a Blossom Up Up and Away!

Monday again! here we go on the merry go round of life eh? the weeks seem to all blend into each other and go so quickly don't they?

Anyway, got my regular class today and should have been going to Wendy's but now it's at my house so hopefully if the man with the brown van manages to turn up today and hopefully while Shirley is still here!!! then it will be a good day, not that it won't be a good day anyway. I always have good days......

This is the card I used as my demonstration card at Bicester last Sunday, I made the punched petals into Air Balloons the birds I drew in myself with the Black Stampin' Write marker and the clouds I used Bashful Blue on a sponge dauber with a cut out template from the scallop circle punch.

The card is Wisteria Wonder and the layer at the bottom basic black punched with the scallop border punch and Lucky Limeade layered on top.

Oh! yes nearly forgot to tell you the baskets for the Air Balloons are the crown from clearly for you (upside down) and the cupcake from Itty Bitty Bits stamp sets (upside down).

Only a few left to show you using Stampin' Up! Build a Blossom set........ hope so far I have given you some inspiration on using this set?

My SIL says the only thing I have left to use it for is for wings on a bird.......... well that will have to wait for another day me thinks....... new stash needs my urgent attention..... tee hee.......

2 step owl builder punch Stampin' Up!

Phew! it's Sunday already..... lovely class yesterday with some new ladies who have not stamped before or very little anyway but I think they are hooked now and we had a lovely afternoon making a couple of Christmas cards and a general birthday card. Norma said "If you had asked me before I started today, I would never have thought I could make cards like this" so I think she was pleased with them.

If you would like to join in with any of my classes then get in touch; we can always make room for a little one!!!

This is one of the cards we did in Friday night's class, I made one during Sale a Bration using the Punch Bunch owl and when Val saw this at a recent party I did she said she would love to make one! so I revamped the owls using the 2 Step Owl Build punch.

It's a shadow box card and when you pull the sides you can see the greeting and when it's closed flat to go in the envelope the owls hold hands .... well in my imagination they do......

the photo doesn't show too well but the outside was stamped using the Wood Background stamp.

and the leaves are from the 2 Step Bird Builder punch, the sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.

Build a Blossom Tu tu and disappointed

Phew! Saturday and another class this afternoon, I'm looking forward to meeting some new ladies today, last night's class must have been good....... my lovely ladies didn't leave until 11.15pm! I couldn't believe the time it went like a flash so we must have all been having a great time. I will take a photo of one of the cards we made and show it soon, it's a remake of one I did a while ago.

Well I'm disappointed because the man in the brown van didn't turn up yesterday!!! how annoying when you are expecting him! well my regular man Jim is away in South Africa on holiday and the newby is not doing so well....... It's now scheduled for Monday but......... I have another class that day but not at home at my friend Wendy's house and one of the stamp sets is for Shirley.......... so she won't get it . boo hoo sorry Shirley x Unless by some chance he delivers before I leave but I won't hold my breath.......

So, onto today's card, again using Stampin' Up! Build a Blossom stamp set, the bodice is using the Round Tab punch and the tags are punched using the Jewelry punch and Tiny Tags stamp set, some bling from the Basic Jewel rhinestones and the background embossed with the Perfect Polka dot embossing folder..... oh and the colour is Wisteria Wonder............

Hooray it's Friday and no work today for me...... I went to Portsmouth yesterday so no crafting at all.... boo hoo......

I have lots of washing, ironing and usual chores to do today but I'm hoping to grab a couple of hours to craft a little later.

I have some ladies coming tonight for a class so will be getting the last minute things ready for that but am excited as well as the man in the brown van is coming again today with more lovely goodies from the latest Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue..... yippee .... not that I have had much time to play with all my other stash yet!!

Meanwhile, onto this card another one using Build a Blossom Stamp set

I was just having a play with pattern building with this one and using the stampamajig creating the square pattern, it reminds me of one of those patterns that you stare at and see other images .... you know like tigers and such.... I can't see anything though, can you?

the little flower, I punched out with the 1" circle punch and the sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess stamp set, can you believe you get 11 stamps in this set for £16 for Clear mount and £20 for wood mount......... a bargain.......... check with me how you can buy this set at this bargain price. Build a blossom Stampin' Up!

It's certainly turning out cold, yesterday and today; I have certainly felt it; and very windy here yesterday but then I live on a hill so it would be windier I suppose. DH said it was very mild out but as I was working from home it was colder in than out, I suppose we have been spoilt with the weather we had earlier this month so we shouldn't complain eh?

I had time to stamp last night and started to stamp with the Everything Eleanor stamp set! I love it already!! it's on page 57 of the Idea Book and Catalogue, I hope to have another go tonight so hopefully I will have something to show you soon.

Anyway,

Here we go with another Stampin' Up! Build a Blossom stamp set and the Blossom Builder punch, another of the samples from Sunday at Bicester.

I have used Calypso Coral and Black and White.

The Top Note die I stamped with En Francais and Just Believe stamp set, the sentiment is from Pennant Parade stamp set and stamped this onto one of the Four Frames stamps and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch, Of course I had to add some bling and used the Jewels for this.

I absolutely love these colours together

I got it finally on the right day

I used Stampin' Up! Baroque Motif on top of Pool Party designer paper and embossed it with white embossing powder.

A little bit of vanilla and Island Indigo card with a small piece of Chantilly crochet trip wrapped aroung it.

The sentiment is from Perfect Punches and I have used this loads so a real go to set.

Pretty pearls and flowers and a bow of the same Chantilly crochet trim to embellish.

The sentiment is layered on one of the die cut tags from lots of tags, another have to have set.

Oops! it's not my sister Jane's birthday today! it's tomorrow!!

I even sent her a text then saw the date!

Guess what? she called me a Geek!!!

Keiran had another operation on Saturday night and came out of intensive care last night, say a prayer for him so that he doesn't have to have anything else please.

anyway you get to see this card instead but hope you can come back tomorrow to see her card.

Recycled Stampin' Up! Treat Bag

Happy Sunday!

Here is a very quick post as I'm off to Bicester to have a great day with some fellow demonstrators and I am literally running through the door as soon as I put this post up.

Yesterday I said I was going to ink up the Triple Treat Flower stamp and at the time wasn't sure what I was going to do with it! well here it is I had loads of the brown paper sitting on the floor after opening a box of supplies from Stampin' Up! and in my box of new goodies was the Square Scallop die new in the October Idea Book and Catalogue, so I used this to make little treat bags and popped in some chocolate for my ladies.

Here is a closer look this stamp is gorgeous and the Fancy Flower punch fits perfect as does the 5 Petal Flower punch, I had these whipped up in no time!!

anyway gotta go............ I'll be back tomorrow with a Birthday card for my Sister Jane, who has spent the last 3 weeks in hospital with her little foster boy Kieran who is having lots of operations, so not sure what sort of Birthday she will have but hopefully all will be well.......

Another Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies card

Sorry for the lack of blog posts this last week!

That's all I can say about it really and the only excuse is work and no play.

I am so itching to get my hands on my new Stampin' Up! products I have a box full of new stuff and one little stamp is called Triple Treat Flower it's all alone in a box, one of the AlaCarte stamps, I am hoping to ink it up this morning before I get ready for today's class. I am seeing a couple of ladies who I haven't seen in ages Annette and Anne, I just want to say to Annette, thank you so much for all your comments you leave on my blog, I really appreciate them and when you get your blog set up I will be able to return the comments. Now you have a challenge eh?

So onto this little number as I said in the title another Delicate Doilies card this time using basic black, melon mambo and whisper white so striking with melon mambo don't you think? oh! there is a little secret on this card..........

The flowers are cut out pieces from the Lace Ribbon Border punch and an added pearl to finish them off the larger of the flowers has a small piece of 1/8" black taffeta ribbon thread through it.

The whisper white is Kraft ink embossed with white embossing powder. Now for the secret bit......I messed up and forgot to use the embossing buddy before I stamped and embossed the doilies as the card idea originally was just going to be black and white!!! well when I embossed it I got little flecks of the white powder on the black card........... so that's when the Melon Mambo punched ribbon pieces came to the rescue!!! I liked it better with the addition, what about you?

Delicate Doilies Stampin' Up!

So the week is on it's way to flying again! I am off to Reading tomorrow (early start) for 3 days back on Friday night, it's a busy week and weekend for me, I have a class on Saturday and then on Sunday I am off to Bicester to meet up with some fellow demonstrators for a crafting day.

I have some samples I have made for my inspiration station and will show you those next week.

In the meantime I saw a card similar to this on a blog called stamped creations by heather, so I just loved the colours she had used so cased it.

It's whisper white kraft ink embossed with white embossing powder and then coloured in using a stampin' write marker in Island Indigo.

Heather used some lace trim on hers but at the time I made this I didn't have any but........ my big order from Stampin' Up! came yesterday and now I do have the trim so may re-create this card. I know you will be seeing lots of samples soon with all the new goodies I got so hope you will pop back for another visit soon.

Well I'm glad my week of work is over.... don't get me wrong Leeds was not so bad but the hotel I stayed in was my normal choice but the pub next door for the food is not my favourite at all TGIF Yuk! I hate the loud music (yeah I know I'm getting old)

the food is not my cuppa tea, burgers, steaks, fajita nah not at all and the chips are so thin and just 'orrible, anyway moan over about the food but I do like my food and felt cheated.........

Here is a quick card using the Hostess designer paper called Cheerful Treat, I made the medallion from a 12" strip of paper.

Okay here we go who stole my weekend?

Oh yeah! I know it was Stampin' Up!

My launch of the new Idea Book and Catalogue on Saturday and a Card Class yesterday that would be what it was but I have had 2 great days with some lovely ladies/friends.

It's one of the things about Stampin' Up! for me; meeting new friends because that's what they become, we share our love of crafting together and have a laugh along the way.

a bit of my story again.. when I used to live down south I used to craft all the time but usually alone then I moved home 5 years ago and in 2009 I joined Stampin' Up! as I said in a previous post; anyway I can honestly say I have more friends where I am now and it's most certainly due to Stampin' Up! because I wouldn't have met so many ladies that have become friends through out passion for crafting.

So today is a thank you day to Stampin' Up! from me even though they stole my whole weekend!!! .........

Here is a little 4 x 4 slider card I made using one of the new stamp sets called Delicate Doilies, I used Wisteria Wonder as the base and Pretty in Pink layered on that.

Stamped the doilies in Melon Mambo and Wisteria Wonder on Whisper White.

The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes a hostess set, stamped in Melon Mambo and punched out with the Extra Large Oval punch.

Then layered onto a die cut tag from the lots of tags set using The Big Shot.

Pull the Pretty in Pink ribbon and here is the slider part

Hey................ last day tomorrow to order from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue Last Chance items

I just can't wait to start ordering from the new 2011-2012 catalogue, have you got yours yet if not and you would like one then let me know.

I have a job in Corby Northampton tomorrow and was orignally going to get on the road nice and early to get there but the engineer who installed our product for me to go and train on said the traffic was a nightmare so will be setting off this afternoon and staying overnight, so thought I would post this quickly before I go.

It's another new stamp from Stampin' Up! and it's from Happiest Birthday Wishes and it's a Hostess set!!

just read the above there are lots of "ands" but I type how I think and I am sure you know what I mean.

I love this clean and simple card and it really makes a great card for all but quick to do if you have forgotten to send a card but really great for men and you can do lots of different colours, this one is Basic Gray.

Well first of all I have to say Happy Birthday to my big sister Elain (this is the right spelling no e on the end)

She has a big birthday today but I was very kind and left the number off her card!

I am glad I got to pre-order some items and that's one of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator but I digress.......

I so love this new colour it's Pool Party this years In Color from Stampin' Up! you have to get this it's the best......

Greenhouse Garden birthday card and a bit of my story

Here is a card we made at the Stampin' Up! party I did yesterday for some new ladies and we had a great time getting to know each other.

I think they have very quickly become fans of Stampin' Up! and like us all loved how everything co-ordinates so brilliantly.

When I first ordered from Stampin' Up! I know I wanted everything and it was the scallop border punch that I was sourcing, well I can tell you that was a very expensive punch!!! as my first order was around £90 lol

Anyway, I knew then that I wanted more! so I joined up as a Demonstrator never thinking for one minute I would "demonstrate" I just wanted the discount!!!! but that was in July 2009 tee hee and here I am still going and yes of course I demonstrate but that was down to my friend Lesley who said "I'll have a party for you! as I want all the free hostess goodies" and she invited 20 ladies!! phew! 2 make and take sessions that night, remember that Les? well now of course Les signed up as she too wanted the discount and guess what? she demonstrates as well! Anyway I love doing the demonstrating and meeting lovely ladies on the way who become friends like Wendy, Shirley, Elsie and Lyn thank you for sticking with me and being friends and customers and making me laugh so much.... oh and to Shirley for the yummy cakes she makes.

Been doing loads but not doing anything if that makes sense?

I sometimes feel I go around in circles and never actually achieve anything if you know what I mean?

It all started yesterday I had my dentist visit and this is the dentist I have had since we moved to this house from Windlesham in Surrey ... well not the full 5 years that we have been here as it took 2 years to get on the Dentist list!!! anyway the checkup was an easy one and nothing to do .... yippee! anyway since going there I have had to go every 6 months but now it's moved to every 10 months so have to say I'm happy about that she said it's because my teeth cleaning is so good!!!

If you are still with me here........... well after the dentist it was shopping with dh and can I tell you he is like a whirling derbyshire going around the shops ...... I never got chance to look; it was like the old movies all picture and no sound (thanks Wendy I love that saying). So after that we went out for dinner (made a lovely change) So I felt like yesterday went with the blink of an eye.....

Anyway I'm off to do a Stampin' Up! party today but thought I would show you a card I made a couple of days ago while playing with one of the new In Color's Pool Party (it still feels weird spelling it this way instead of colour) . I used the Elegant Bouquet for the background and the Butterflies are from Beautiful Wings Embosslit. The little flowers are punched using Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack (set of 3)

Oh... the pink is Blushing Bride card stock and the little pearls are from the pack of Pearls in the Jewel section of the Idea Book and Catalogue loads of them.........really nice

Clean and Simple Just Believe

I thought I would go back to making some Clean and Simple cards and I think the Just Believe stamp set from Stampin' Up! fits this category really well.

I have used Island Indigo one of the new In Color's and that's about it really just believe clean and simple....

I'm off to the dentist this morning for my 6 month check up so fingers crossed nothing will have to be done..... <<>>

something to cheer up the grey days we have been having; a little card made with some bright colours for a change Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist (I think) .... doh! can't remember as I took the picture a while ago

Anyway I layered Marina Mist ribbon on daffodil delight satin on the scallop trim border punch.

Well a boring week for work this week working at home but still it's good to have my own bed at night and have my evenings for some crafty time.

Artistic Etchings

I have been busy crafting but forgot to put anything on my blog!!! silly me my head is away with the fairies and I can't believe it's Sunday already, I had a class yesterday and that zoomed away the day. The ladies wanted to make Christmas cards but I thought my blog has had enough pictures of Christmas cards to last for a while.....

I made this card the other day and used Stampin' Up Artistic Etchings stamp set other supplies are

Blueberry Crisp dsp, Confetti Cream, Chocolate Chip, River Rock card.

I distressed the card using the distressing Essentials kit and a stampin'write marker with the Color Spritzer tool.

Isn't it weird typing Color instead of Colour? but that's how it's spelt in the Idea Book and Catalogue..... speaking of that the new one is out on 1st October and if you want a copy then get in touch and I will whizz one in the post for you.

Sneak Peak Lace Ribbon Punch

Yesterday I was in Portsmouth working and when I got home I had parcels waiting for me to open and it was my my pre-order from the new Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue, you see it's one of the benefits of being a demonstrator we get to see the catalogue in September and to pre-order some of the new items before the launch date of 1st October.

Groan and moan back to work today........

anyway I got to make a couple of cards yesterday and here is one of them.

I used some of the Springtime Vintage paper that will be retiring at the end of this month from the mini catalogue. The base card is River Rock and I distressed the edges using basic grey ink.

The swirl is from Season of Joy stamp set (not retiring) and the sentiment is Oval All stamp set using the matching Oval punches.

The butterfly is made with the Beautiful Wings embosslits die and Beautiful Butterfly Die.

4 x 4 Christmas Cards and Box

Hello again sorry I haven't been around much but hey ho here are some cards I made a while ago along with a box to put them in.

I am back to work tomorrow but I can't grumble really as I did have a fabulous holiday and have had 3 weeks off!!

I haven't done too much crafting as I had a class yesterday and had last minute preparation for that at at the weekend but today I hope to.

Just a word on the retiring list ............ it's going going going and lots of items are now GONE!

The box is quite plain but I left if that way as I plan to give these away to a fellow crafter for to decorate herself.

Happy Sunday...... great it's been a while as I was away on holiday for a couple of weeks and boy have I missed stamping! yep....

I couldn't sleep last night and have been awake since 3am!!! so came in my craft room and had a look through some cards I had made a while ago and hadn't put on here and I can't believe that Baby Blossoms Stamp set isn't going to make it into the Main Idea book and Catalogue due out October 1st in fact I am so glad I got this set when I did 'cus when it's gone it's gone....... If you want to get it before it's gone then get in touch to place your order........

I first saw this on Cherie Franklin blog during December so I knew I had to copy and all I had to do was wait to see if we got this in our Mini catalogue on April 1st, .

Then I saw a similar version on Caroline Skinner blog

So this is me hooked on Baby Blossoms stamp set.
